How it Works

The Wifi QR Code Generator encodes your network credentials into a standard WIFI string format recognized by iOS and Android cameras. Since this tool works purely client-side using JavaScript, your password never leaves your browser. You can even use this tool offline.

String Format Example:

WIFI:T:WPA;S:MyNetwork;P:password123;H:false;;
  • T: Type (WPA, WEP, or nopass)
  • S: SSID (Network Name)
  • P: Password
  • H: Hidden Network (true/false)

FAQ

Is my password safe?
Yes, absolutely. This tool runs 100% in your browser using JavaScript. No data is ever sent to any server. You can verify this by turning off your internet connection while using the tool.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. The native camera apps on modern iPhones (iOS 11+) and Android phones support scanning WiFi QR codes directly.
What is a "Hidden Network"?
A hidden network is one where the router does not broadcast the SSID. If you have to manually type the name to find your wifi, check this box.
The QR Code doesn't work?
Please check: 1. Is the Encryption type correct? (Most are WPA/WPA2). 2. Is the password case-sensitive? 3. Is your screen brightness high enough?
Does it support 5GHz Wifi?
Yes. The QR code only contains credentials. Your phone will automatically choose the best frequency (2.4GHz or 5GHz) available for that SSID.
What is WEP? Should I use it?
WEP is an outdated and insecure encryption standard. Most modern routers use WPA or WPA2. Only select WEP if you know for sure your router is very old.
Do these codes expire?
No. The QR code is just text. As long as you don't change your router's password, the code will work forever.
Can I print the card?
Yes! Use the "Print Card" button to generate a clean, print-ready version of the card without the website UI.
